Engineering has been an aspect of life since the beginnings of human existence. Civil engineering might be considered properly commencing between 4000 and 2000 BC in Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia when humans started to abandon a nomadic existence, thus causing a need for the construction of shelter. The construction of Pyramids in Egypt (circa 2700-2500 BC) might be considered the first instances

of large structure constructions. Other ancient historic civil engineering constructions include the Parthenon by Iktinos in Ancient Greece (447-438 BC), and others

Until modern times there was no clear distinction between civil engineering and architecture, and the term engineer and architect were mainly geographical variations referring to the same person, often used interchangeably. In the 18th century, the term civil engineering began to be used to distinguish it from military engineering.

We're all wearing different colours, we're all very different people, but we've come together today for this event and that has been the greatest experience.
Samnivesa is the foundation that brought us together as a team, and it is fitting as the word means the same in Sanskrit.
This fest has been a series of firsts for us - this is actually the first time that we have all worked together as a team, and throughout the preparation for the fest, the one thing that we could count on was that we would learn something new everyday.
We managed to learn a lot of practical things that had to do with the theory that we were learning in class while we organised technical events.
You might think only Civil students will be able to participate in Samnivesa, but everybody can participate if they're eager to learn. At the same time, it will be a lot of fun and an experience to remember.
We request all of you to come and join us and we promise you an action-packed and fun-filled two days!

A battle ground where the best of the engineer strive to prove their scientific, management and mathematical ingenuity. So put on your thinking caps and pull your sleeves for a fun filled competition. Your application knowledge matters more than your speed here.
Round 1 includes solving crosswords. Clues from the crossword leads to the venue of the Round 2 and so on. The team with the highest credits will be declared as the winner.

Entry Fee: Rs. 100
Team Size: 2-4 members.

Aid always helps to achieve hard task with short span. What if aid comes from a machine? Yes. Use your design by getting aid from computer.
Many have potential, and we are picking those that are beyond books. So, do you have what it takes?
If yes, this is your chance to show your potential in designing!

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1. The competition will have two rounds of prelims and mains.
2. The prelims will be a manual drawing competition round.
3. The main round would consist of designing a plan in AutoCAD Software.
4. Participant can choose a topic of his/her choice 15 minutes before the main event.
5. Internet will not be provided by the organizer. However, if the participant needs to refer, he/she can make his/her own arrangements for the internet and can use.
6. You will be judged based on your pedagogic talents, perfection and designing abilities.

Results declared by the judges will be final and binding.

Team Size: 1 member.
