While coping with the Covid-19 Emergency performing surveillance operations, the Aviation Unit of the Guardia di Finanza (police force under the authority of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance) does not stop its ordinary activities, such as - among several others - maritime policing operations, the fight against illegal trafficking and plantations or the mapping of archaeological sites. Italian Government grants Piaggio Aerospace orders worth 700 million euro.

During a meeting held on Thursday in Rome, the Italian Defence Ministry confirmed its commitments on multiple orders to Piaggio Aerospace for a total amount of approximately 700 million euros. Taking part in the meeting were representatives of the Italian Government, Piaggio Aerospace’s Extraordinary Receiver, local authorities from the Liguria region and the Piaggio Aerospace Unions.

Piaggio Aerospace Delivers More Evos

Piaggio Aerospace will soon deliver the first P.180 Avanti Evo to a customer on the African continent, as well as another of the turboprop twins to a repeat customer in Switzerland. It also announced that the first P.180 Avanti Evo entered service in India, having been delivered recently by Piaggio partner Business Aviation Private Limited to an unnamed customer.
