22/12/2025

As we wind down 2025, I am thoughtful of how well the global innovation community has come together to understand the importance of being aware about new technologies, to being open to learn, to engage in a process to scout for new tech, build platforms, adapt to local business models and deploy. More interestingly, 2025 has revealed to us that finance and investors are also opening up to realise the real value in global tech access and deployment strategies.

I am delighted to share that in 2025, GBI succeeded in helping innovators expand to 7 different markets across EU, India, UK, US, Brazil, Africa, SE Asia. Building awareness about new greentech, digital or healthcare solutions to business adopters around the world, making it easy to have the knowledge, building trust and credibility between innovators and markets, facilitating internationally valid and viable agreements and structures to create investable projects helped build global capacity to understand and act in a step by step manner.

From our global online platform- Global Tech Interface (https://www.globaltechinterface.com/) - to strong teams across the world, the mission and vision of GBI to scale tech access and deployment for the UNSDGs has become business as usual.

We believe that 2026 and the years ahead will see more of this with more and more case studies that will get more stakeholders joining to harness the impact business and investment opportunities.

For all the aforementioned reasons and for your close association with Global Business Inroads (GBI), we thank you and look forward to further enhanced collaborative action in 2026.

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year 2026!!

Strengthening Impact Through Manufacturing Partnerships in India

Global Business Inroads(GBI) was delighted to support The Washing Machine Project (TWMP) during their recent visit to India from 24th–28th November. TWMP’s mission to deliver affordable, off-grid washing solutions for underserved communities aligns closely with GBI’s commitment to enabling meaningful global collaborations across India’s innovation and industrial ecosystem.

Represented by David Poole and Laura Tuck, TWMP explored Chennai and Pune — two of India’s most robust manufacturing clusters — to identify suppliers with strong multi-process manufacturing capabilities, including:

✔ Sheet metal forming
✔ Metal spinning
✔ Plastic injection moulding
✔ Rotational moulding
✔ Thermoforming

As TWMP scales its efforts globally, building a reliable and efficient supplier base in India will be crucial for the production of their manual, low-cost washing machines designed to uplift economically vulnerable communities.

GBI was proud to act as the local partner, supporting:

✔ Strategic planning and coordination of the entire visit
✔ Identification and shortlisting of qualified manufacturers
✔ Facilitating supplier engagements in Chennai and Pune
✔ On-ground support throughout the delegation

A special acknowledgment to Leena Pishe Thomas and Harsha Lingam from Global Business Inroads for their leadership and support in making this engagement seamless and productive.

We are grateful for the support of Innovate UK and appreciate the continued vision of Dr Navjot Sawhney in driving this impactful initiative forward.

GBI looks forward to strengthening this collaboration and contributing to TWMP’s mission of improving lives through simple, human-centred design.
