Set up in 2003 to manufacture Sponge Iron having manufacturing facility situated at Jodidevarahalli in Sira Taluk at Tumkur District is today grown into a fully integrated Steel Plant manufacturing 8 mm to 32 mm TMT Steel Bars conforming to IS: 1786 Fe 415 and 500 Grades. Growth History, Capability
July 2004 : Installation of 100 TPD Kiln for the Sponge Iron in having capacity of 30,
000 MT/Annum. January 2005: Installation of Second Kiln hence increasing the production capacity of Sponge Iron by another 30,000 MT/Annum. October 2006: Installation of Melting Furnace having capacity of 18000 MT/Annum. June 2007: Thermo Mechanically Treated (TMT) Bars manufacturing facility commissioned with the capacity of 60,000MT/Annum
Expansion Programme:
Company is now going for Captive Power plant of 10 MW which will be installed at its present manufacturing location along with steel plant, using coal and waste gases as its raw material for generating energy. Gases which are not generating any revenue right now will be utilized as a fuel to run power plant resulting to reduction in cost of power by 40-50%. Increasing existing production capacity by installing 3rd Kiln and another furnace facility.
