Preamble:
I conceived the concept of a fully vertically integrated Company which designs, Manufactures and Markets Model Airplanes as these have been my passion since Childhood. My personal passion has been Cardboard – I always used discarded Cartons, Boxes, Paper and recycled junk and built thousands of little airplanes from age six to over sixty
. Aero modelling is a wonderful Sport which is enjoyed by all from the smallest kids to old folk. Our GOAL is to light the spark and kindle the fire of enthusiasm for Aero Modelling among the youngest. We aim to provide the entire range of model KITS in Kit or ARF form for Aero modellers from the very basic Paper Folding Planes to start off the interest for Aero modelling for youngest school kids and help them upgrade their skills where more assembling and flying talent is needed. In July / August 2012, I got together the first of a proposed series of Model Airplanes starting from the simplest and integrating vertically in a Planned Periodic Upgrades for whatever state-of art technologies are presently available or can be invented / innovated / developed by our own ingenuities. SCALE MODELS: As far as possible, within the limits of Materials, Aerodynamics and Aesthetics, each model will be a replica of the real plane.
2. INDIAN AIR FORCE: This Company is founded in the memory of my Father, Air Commodore D Rajagopal who served the RIAF / IAF 1944 to1976. As such this Company will concentrate on Aircraft Types actually flown by the IAF in specific Squadron Colours of the IAF. It is the specific Objective of this Company to promote a patriotic streak as well as an ambition to fly in the IAF among youth.
3. FIXED WING: The emphasis will be on Fixed Wing Planes – we will not venture into Rotary or Flexible Sails – unless compelled by Market Demand.
4. FULL RANGE: In terms of Price – from less than Rs. 100/= up to Lakhs, the Products will offer the entire range of Aero Model Technologies.
5. GROWTH: It is envisioned that the Company will grow to eventually Manufacture Man-Carrying Aircraft, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Drones, Defence & Non-Defence Design, Development and Production Contracts. For a Start, the Manufacturing Capacity is Planned to be used to produce a “Ultralight” – Single Seater – 265 lbs- and a “Micro-light” – Twin Seater – 500 lbs. R & D:

Every school child has sometime pulled out a page out of the notebook and skilfully folded it and, in a few minutes, converted paper into a flying machine. AIR COMMODORE AERO MODELS gives you a range of fully flyable Paper Airplanes. Realistically shaped, with fully printed surface details, these can be folded along printed lines to make a flying, scale model of the Real Plane. The technology is from the ancient Japanese art of paper folding – called ORIGAMI. This “Learning Set” comes with TWO, not one Planes in each kit along with a Instruction Manual. A brief description and pic of the real plane is also there. And, a stand to mount each model plane and display on a shelf. To perfect the flight of the model, Centre of Gravity (C.of G.) balancing Clips are provided. There are FIVE Models, they are ranked in order of building simplicity.

SOPWITH CAMEL. Famous World War Fighter Bi-plane from 1916. It was one of the first Weapons the flew and slew successfully. This Kit is assembled by cutting out pasting together the Component Parts with an adhesive, like FEVICOL. The plane is a fully 3-Dimensional, Scale Model with authentic surface details of the real plane. A little skill with scissors and accurate folding is advised to make this model. Price: Rs. 490/=. (2) Indian Air Force Series.- War Planes of Indo Pak War of 1971
This war was the golden zenith of the Indian Airforce. Fighting on two fronts, the IAF had decimated their enemy over the first half of this 14-Day war. There were glorious battles, air aces and heroes were made, myths of the superiority of US supplied planes of the Pak Airforce were dispelled when IAF Migs and Gnats knocked out the much flaunted Sabres asnd Starfighters of the PAF. At the Battle of Longewala, a handfull of IAF Hunters knocked out over a hundred Pakistani Tanks and turned back a ground invasion. Truly, this is a story worth retelling and I would like to offer this as an incentive to the youth to join the best Air Force in the world – the Indian Air Force!!! This is a set of three planes – which are printed on Light Art Card or Sun Board and need to be cut out & pasted. The planes are:

As these three types were the main participants in the Air War, I have included a story on the most important Battles, with photos, information on the Battle from both Indian & Paki records, Order of Battle, Squadrons, Pilots, Decorations & causality attrition rates. A special Wall Paper of IAF Combat planes is given as a bonus. The assembly of the kit only needs scissors and paper gum. The Tabs, parts etc are kept as simple for a small kid to put together. All models will “chuck-glide” over 30 meters. Price: Rs. 490/=.
