APER Robotics and Engineering Lab was founded as a robotics club at Islamic University of Science & Technology Awantipora, Kashmir by Shoaib Hamid (B.tech Electronics & Communication Engineering) and Azra Nazir (B.tech Computer Science & Engineering) in April 2012. As our first assignment a Robotics workshop was organized at IUST in May 2012. Comparing the general standard of the students of the s
tate to the rest of the country we found a need of imparting technical knowledge to the students of the state and developing a new generation of capable and knowledgeable people enough to fit in the changing scenario of scientific advancement and this gave birth to the idea of organizing workshops based on Electronics, Computer Programming and Robotics across schools and colleges of Jammu & Kashmir. The basic objective of the APER Engineering Lab is to generate a need for ROBOTICS education among students and schools in Kashmir and become a name synonymous with robotics education and related events in the state by creating an ambiance of creativity and an approach towards seeking logical solutions to everyday problems. At APER Labs we offer exciting learning opportunities in Electronics, Programming & Robotics as a co curricular activity to school & college students who are interested in building Electronic & Robotic skills. We are going to start a series of workshops across the schools & colleges of Jammu & Kashmir related to Electronics, Computer Programming, Embedded Systems, Robotics and Android Application Development.
