Since Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and certain parts of Rajasthan which are considered to be prime marketing zones of GNFC are having less irri
gation facilities and are prone to drought conditions, the company also markets its fertilizers in the secondary market which include Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Some fertilizers are more popular in certain areas and in order to keep the flow of fertilizers moving in the field in different areas for entire year, the company is marketing its fertilizers in these states. In certain regions the demand for fertilizers picks up early, while it is more in later part of the season in some regions. Therefore supply of fertilizer from plant site to different parts of marketing zone remains continuous enabling constant cash flow. In view of the irrigation facilities, Narmada Command Area will be quite potential to sell our fertilizers. For it GNFC has nominated 16 officers in the spearhead groups of Narmada Command Area and they remain in constant touch with the farmers and village level cooperative societies. In the interaction, points like efficient use of fertilizers, crop diversification as per the need and issues related to optimum crop production from Narmada water are discussed. Need based proportional and advertisement programs are also organised for better visibility of the Narmada brand fertilizers.
