Solinas Integrity Robotics and Digitisation for water and sanitation Industry

Solinas is run by alumni from IIT Madras having significant experience in product development and start-ups. Solinas brings the state of the art robotic diagnostics to pipelines and tanks primarily in the water and sanitation sector (but with benefits for allied applications in other sectors such as Oil & gas), that reduce water loss in distribution and eliminate manual scavenging, thereby positively impacting the lives of millions of people in India and eventually across the world.

We are grateful that our HOMOSEP Sewer is a part of Chennai Petroleum Corp. Ltd (Indian Oil)'s CSR initiative for modernising sanitation in Chennai. Our robots were inaugurated by Hon. Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and presided over by Dr. Kalanidhi Veeraswamy, Member of Parliament, North Chennai.

This development is another milestone in our roadmap for using robotics and Al to eliminate manual scavenging across Tamil Nadu.

Senior leaders, including Shankar H, Managing Director of CPCL, Rohit Kumar Agrawala, Finance Director of CPCL, and the Chief Superintendent of Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply And Sewerage Board were present during the inauguration.

This initiative marks an important step towards ensuring safety, dignity, and sustainability in Chennai's sanitation efforts, and we thank CPCL for trusting Solinas Integrity to support this vision through innovation.

Water supply challenges are a major concern for every growing city. In this testimonial, Mr. G. Sreekanth (IAS), Hon’ble Municipal Commissioner of Chhatrapati Shivajinagar, Maharashtra, shares how the city successfully tackled its pipeline issues with the help of Solinas’ innovative Endobot technology.

By deploying Endobot, the city was able to diagnose problems inside pipelines quickly and accurately, ensuring faster solutions and improved water management for citizens.

Innovation designed with empathy and impact goes beyond only delivering outcomes. It's a perspective that deserves to be said out loud, especially on International Labor Day.

We're proud that we use this approach for our robotics and AI, to build towards a future where Manual Scavenging is a thing of the past.

Stormwater drains are an essential part of civic Infrastructure, since they are key to preventing water-logging and urban flooding.

But in India, they're often blocked by waste, encroachments, and poor maintenance. Robotic inspection offers a proactive solution, detecting issues early to reduce repair costs and extending infrastructure lifespan.

Water theft continues to be a big contributor to water stress both around the world and in India.

Research estimates that nearly half of the world's water supply is stolen. In our country, illegal collections through ferrules are a major contributor to this problem.

Since manual checks aren't enough to detect ferrules and the extent of damage that they can cause, robotic pipeline crawlers assume even more importance to combat this systemic issue.

Not only can they pinpoint illegal ferrules with ease, robotic pipeline crawlers can also help civic infrastructure authorities adopt a proactive approach to deal with the problem of illegal ferrules.

We added another feather in our organizational cap, inking a Memorandum of Understanding with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.

Under the ambit of IOCL’s Startup Scheme — which has been supporting entrepreneurs across India since 2016 — the MoU will serve as the base for us to provide leak-detection services for the company’s long-range pipes.

It was a joyous day indeed, as reflected by the smiles of our CEO Divanshu Kumar (3rd from right), IOCL Executive Director Amit Dasgupta, and all the other delegates present during the signing.

Intermittent Water Supply is a major issue in many regions, causing water scarcity, poor water quality, and health risks. Rapid urbanization, outdated infrastructure, and overstretched water systems have left millions without consistent, clean water. As urban populations rise, the pressure on water resources grows, making this an urgent problem.

Smart infrastructure upgrades, sustainable water conservation, and innovative technologies like robotic leak detection are key to tackling this issue. By implementing these solutions, we can ensure a reliable, clean water supply for all.

Many water and sewer networks lack accurate mapping, making maintenance reactive rather than planned. Geographic Information System (GIS) technology addresses this by creating detailed spatial maps, integrating historical data, and identifying patterns that help predict infrastructure issues. It provides a comprehensive view of pipelines and drainage systems, enabling more informed decision-making.

With GIS, leaks can be traced to their source, and sewer overflows can be anticipated and prevented. By improving planning and resource allocation, it can help cities reduce maintenance costs, minimize disruptions, and build more resilient infrastructure for the future.

That’s why our products and services are designed to make the best use possible of GIS and its applications.
