Festival of Lights: Solar Lighting Impact Story 4: 🪔

Solar lighting in community spaces such as places of worship ensures safe, well-lit and accessible community gathering spaces and uninterupted conduct of festivals and community celebrations, even during power cuts.

Listen to KASTURI BHATTAR, Priest at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, P. V. KALATHUR, Chengalpet Dt. 🎥

This is a very special project for us as it was the FIRST PROJECT OF DPF, twinning along with the solar lighting system in the nearby Pugazhendi Pulavar High School, P. V. Kalathur, both inaugurated in 2011.

Across Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, Divya Prerna Foundation has been bringing reliable solar lighting to places the grid forgets: remote government schools, tribal residential schools, places of worship and children's homes, serving hilly and tribal regions and underserved communities.

✨ Meet the People Behind the Light! 🌱 *Creating digital experiences with a purpose!*

Meet Sangeetha Ramachandran, a web developer and creative entrepreneur from Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, and Founder of SK Creative House.

Starting out in software testing at TCS, she gradually combined technical expertise with a passion for design, building a business that brings together branding, digital marketing, social media and website development. 💻🎨

Sangeetha’s collaboration with Divya Prerna Foundation goes beyond website development. By bringing together SK Creative House’s technical and creative expertise and DPF’s vision for social change, this partnership is helping share the Foundation’s work in solar energy, education, healthcare, livelihoods and community development with a wider audience.

For Sangeetha, the project is an opportunity to use technology and creativity to go beyond business to inspire awareness, connection and positive social change. DPF is happy to provide this opportunity to a young and dynamic woman entrepreneur and wishes her the best on her budding entrepreneurial journey.
