India is the fourth largest consumer of energy in the world. It experiences a severe problem of insufficient supply of energy to meet the exploding demand. Also, inequality in the access of electricity is a concern which plagues most of the sub-continent. India’s wind energy sector has been growing exponentially and currently it is the fourth largest in the world, in terms of installed capacity. Windergy India is the voice of the Indian Wind Energy Industry, to actively promote wind energy all over India. Our mission is to raise awareness about the benefits of wind energy in order to reduce the adverse effects of global warming and climate change caused by other energy resources. We aim to produce variety of information tools and enhance social acceptance by dispelling myths about wind energy. It is our mission to act as an information repository and establish wind energy as the solution for the growing energy needs of the country and provide substantial economic and environmental benefits.
