Oil cooling is most commonly applied to high-performance motorcycle engines that have no water cooling system. The cylinder barrel is air-cooled, as is commonly used for motorcycles, but the cylinder head may require additional cooling. Oil Cooler refers to a procedure whereby heat is displaced from a 'hotter' object, into cooler oil and is the principle behind Oil Coolers devices. The oil transport the displaced heat usually passes throughout a cooling unit such as a radiator or less commonly a gas decompresser. The cooled oil repeats this cycle, to continuously remove heat from the object.
