Located at a key junction within the SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Kattankulathur campus, the Mixed Facility Building is envisioned as a shared campus infrastructure integrating retail, food courts, student services, administration, recreation, and accommodation.

Khaay-Zen is engaged as the MEP Consultant, responsible for the integrated design and coordination of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and ELV systems. The design approach emphasises clear service zoning, efficient distribution, and long-term operational reliability to support diverse occupancies and load profiles.

The final scheme adopts a layered services strategy, aligning high-activity public functions at lower levels with quieter private spaces above—ensuring safety, energy efficiency, and future-ready campus infrastructure.

NMV University — MEP Site Visit Update (17,80,000 sq.ft)

A deep-dive site visit was carried out today at the upcoming NMV University campus, where major excavation, piling and shoring works are progressing rapidly across this massive 17.8 lakh sq.ft development.

The groundwork sets the foundation for an integrated MEP infrastructure, covering:

🔸 Large-scale HVAC systems for academic & residential blocks
🔸 Electrical distribution networks & campus-wide reliability planning
🔸 Plumbing, STP/RO/MBR utilities routing
🔸 Fire-fighting system zoning & hydrant network corridors
🔸 ELV, BMS & smart-campus integration

Our visit focused on validating MEP service corridors, shaft zones, basement levels, fire tender movement paths, and future utility routing, ensuring seamless coordination between civil progress and upcoming MEP installations.
