SLS, which stands for Selective Laser Sintering, is a powerful 3D printing technology that utilizes a high-power laser to fuse or sinter small particles of polymer powder into a solid structure. It's a key process within the category of additive manufacturing known as powder bed fusion (PBF).

How it Works:

Powder Bed Preparation: A roller or recoater spreads a thin layer of fine polymer powder across a build platform within a heated build chamber.

Laser Sintering: A high-power laser scans and selectively sinters the powder particles together, following the cross-sectional shape of the 3D model.

Layer by Layer: The build platform lowers slightly, a new layer of powder is applied, and the process repeats until the part is complete.
