In my presentation, "Advancement of Digital Supply Chain in Africa "
I reccommended that the following be implemented:
1.Investment in Digital Infrastructure: Governments and private sector stakeholders should prioritize investment in digital infrastructure, including internet connectivity, cloud computing, and data analytics capabilities, to enable a more efficient and resilient digital supply chain network.
2.Promotion of E-commerce Platforms: Encourage the growth of e-commerce platforms and marketplaces tailored to the African context. This includes supporting local entrepreneurs and SMEs in adopting digital technologies for online sales and distribution, thereby expanding market access and reducing supply chain barriers.
3.Development of Last-Mile Delivery Solutions: Invest in innovative last-mile delivery solutions, such as drone technology and mobile delivery apps, to overcome logistical challenges and improve the efficiency of product distribution, especially in remote and rural areas.
4.Enhancement of Supply Chain Visibility: Implement digital solutions, such as IoT sensors and blockchain technology, to improve supply chain visibility and transparency. This will enable better tracking of goods, real-time monitoring of inventory levels, and more accurate demand forecasting, leading to reduced stockouts and improved customer satisfaction.
How feasible are my reccommendations putting in considerations, the Gaps in the Traditional supply chain?
