Technology Transfer Office at BCIL organised a meeting with Directors of DBT autonomous institutions, DBT- BIRAC & Sathguru aimed at enhancing partnerships for strengthening innovation ecosystem and technology commercialisation. TTO@BCIL set up under National Biopharma Mission - BIRAC is mandated to assist all DBT autonomous research institutes & all DBT-funded extramural projects in technology transfer and related activities. It was an insightful meet with valuable recommendations from distinguished experts on accelerating innovation ecosystem.

Today, Technology Transfer Office established at BCIL (Technology Transfer Office @ Biotech Consortium India Limited (TTO@BCIL)) has further taken a step ahead in strengthening academia-industry linkage. Technology dealing with easy and rapid detection of Toxoplasma gondii infection in human and animals developed at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad was successfully transferred to M/s Techinvention Lifecare Private Limited, Mumbai.
TTO@ BCIL is actively engaging stakeholders and moving inventions from inventors to public and private users through industry partnership as per the mandate of National Biopharma Mission. Support of DBT- BIRAC in strengthening innovation ecosystem in the country through TTOs is greatly acknowledged. Licensing ceremony was graced by Dr. Taru Sharma, Director, DBT-NIAB.
