Embracing the spirit of “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, NICDC and its SPVs celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June 2026 through plantation drives across project sites.

At AURIC, the MITL team planted saplings around the banks of AURIC Lake No. 2, contributing to the enhancement of green cover and ecological balance within the industrial area.

Plantation activities were also undertaken at and project sites, reflecting the shared commitment of NICDC and its SPVs towards sustainable development, environmental stewardship, and nurturing nature for future generations.

These initiatives reflect the vision of developing greenfield industrial smart cities that are not only engines of economic growth, but also models of sustainable, climate-conscious and environment-friendly urban-industrial development.

𝗕𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗬𝗔 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶 𝗣𝗶𝘆𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹

Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, launched the BHAVYA Portal, marking a key milestone in the operationalisation of the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna.

With an approved outlay of ₹33,660 crore, aims to develop 100 investment-ready, world-class industrial parks across India over six years, strengthening India’s manufacturing ecosystem through plug-and-play infrastructure, multimodal connectivity, digital governance, worker-support facilities, testing infrastructure, sustainable development features, and dedicated spaces for innovation and startups.

Speaking at the launch, Hon’ble Minister highlighted that BHAVYA will further strengthen India’s manufacturing ecosystem. He emphasised transparency, ease of access, and data-driven decision-making, noting that the portal will enable seamless coordination among stakeholders and provide real-time visibility into project progress, infrastructure readiness, and investment opportunities.

Developed by , the portal will serve as a single digital interface for DPR submission, appraisal, evaluation, stakeholder coordination, and real-time monitoring.

BHAVYA is set to catalyse investment, generate employment, strengthen Centre-State partnerships, and advance India’s journey towards becoming a globally competitive manufacturing destination.

A delegation of Assistant Secretaries in DPIIT, comprising IAS Officer Trainees of the 2024 batch, visited NICDC office and DMIC Integrated Industrial Township Greater Noida Limited ( ), Greater Noida, to gain first-hand exposure to India’s next-generation industrial infrastructure.

Shri Rajat Kumar Saini, CEO & MD, briefed the officers on the Corporation’s vision of developing future-ready Greenfield Industrial Smart Cities aligned with PM , and . He highlighted the progress of NICDC’s industrial corridor programme, including four developed cities, four cities nearing completion, and twelve newly approved nodes aimed at strengthening manufacturing, logistics and employment-led growth.

During their visit to DMIC IITGNL, the officers were briefed on integrated township planning, smart utilities, plug-and-play infrastructure, multimodal connectivity and employment-oriented industrial development. They also gained insights into key upcoming projects, including the Multimodal Transport Hub ( ) at Boraki and Multimodal Logistics Hub ( ) at Dadri.

The delegation appreciated the scale, planning approach and world-class infrastructure being developed under NICDC’s industrial corridor programme.

On World Environment Day, Team NICDC came together to reaffirm its commitment to a greener and more sustainable future.

Our employees took the pledge inspired by Hon'ble Prime Minister's call to plant at least one tree in the name of their mother under the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign, while also committing to inspire others to protect the environment and contribute towards a healthier planet.

Taking this pledge a step further, NICDC employees planted saplings, transforming their commitment into meaningful action for a greener tomorrow.

Every sapling planted today is a step towards a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future for generations to come.
