Our founder, Gaurav Shorey [] spoke at the AEEE Cooling Coalition Conclave 2025. He shared a series of actual projects that had a chance to work on, which demonstrated how we can cool our buildings without heating up the planet – the power of passive architectural design and its quantifiable impact on reduced cooling loads.

A big thanks to the architectural geniuses , – who brought these marvels to life.

It was great sharing the stage with .siripurapu from .ant .co , whose CoolAnt system is a brilliant reminder that nature already knows how to keep things cool, and cooling can be achieved by combining traditional wisdom with modern innovation.

Conversations like these are where real change begins—when architects, engineers, and innovators come together to rethink how we build for rather than just a cool building in a warmer world.
We still believe that “Sustainable cooling” by itself is an oxymoron unless we focus on architectural design optimization as means to sustainable cooling.

The rise in demand for air conditioners is alarming for several reasons:

1. The outdoor unit of an air conditioner releases heat into the environment, at temperatures that are higher than the already-hot outdoors. So the cooling you receive comes at the cost of warming the surrounding area.

2. People are becoming more sensitive to heat. The ability to adapt to changing temperatures diminishes with increasing use of air conditioner.

3. The growing reliance on air conditioning contributes to higher energy consumption, which in turn leads to increased greenhouse gas emissions and further exacerbates climate change.
