It received certificate of commencement of business on July 31st,2007. The objective of setting up of RECPDCL was to capitalize on opportunities o

ffered through the provisions of Section 4 and Section 5 of the Electricity Act, 2003. This Act, aims at opening up the electrification sector to various private players while exempting them from holding a license for distribution and retail supply. The main objectives of the Company, as set out in the Memorandum of Association, are as follows:

To promote, develop, construct, own, operate, distribute and maintain 66 KV and below voltage class Electrification/Distribution Electric supply lines/distribution system. To promote, develop, construct, own and manage Decentralized Distributed Generation (DDG) and associated distribution system. Consultancy/execution of works in the above areas for other agencies/Govt.
