Dear All,

Greetings from your EVP on the eve of APRM 2012. Air Traffic Controllers' Guild (India), in which I am the General Secretary, is trying its best to extend famed Indian hospitality to the delegates during their stay at Delhi. Lots of serious discussions, lotws of fun and lots of entertainment waiting for all of you. Those who are bringing accompanying persons will also be stress free because separate set of arrangements have been made for them. Those who have not provided the travel details are requested to do so immediately as we have plan to provide airport pick up and drop for the delegates, unless the hotel provides this service as complimentary.

Few days back it has been reported by the Sri Lankan Association that they are not in a position to conduct the APRM 2013 as proposed earlier due to some unavoidable reasons. I request other MAs to cosider the conduct of it and in the ensuing meet. As I understand Iranian Association and Korean Association had shown interest for it. Mr. Ali and Mr Ki Jeon may talk to each other and take a final decision to be proposed on the third day of the meet, i.e. 22nd.

Some delegates have expressed concern about the spread of seasonal dengue fever in Delhi during the month. Our delegates need not be over anxious as reported Dengue cases are few till date. Following is a brief on the disease:

The Aedes mosquito bites during daytime and it transmits a virus which causes Dengue fever. The place where our delegates will stay or move around are not places which normally breeds mosquito. But even then, the hotels have mosquito repellent devices inside the closed places. For more safety one can buy a tube of mosquito repellent cream for application on exposed parts of the body.
