🔥 Welding Fundamentals | Weld Joints & Welding Positions
In welding, quality begins with a clear understanding of the fundamentals.
In this short video, I have tried to simplify two important aspects of welding:
🔹 Types of Weld Joints – Butt, Lap, T, Corner & Edge Joint
🔹 Welding Positions – Flat, Horizontal, Vertical & Overhead
🔹 G – Groove Weld | F – Fillet Weld
These basics are important not only for welders, but also for QA/QC Engineers, Welding Inspectors and Mechanical Professionals, as they form the foundation for understanding WPS, welder qualification, fabrication drawings and inspection requirements.
With years of experience in Quality Assurance & Inspection, I strongly believe that no matter how experienced we become, revisiting the fundamentals always adds value.
