Today, we gather to bid farewell to a remarkable leader, Dr. L. P. Sharma Sir, who has created history in NIC Sikkim by becoming the first DDG from the State of Sikkim. His promotion and transfer to Delhi Headquarters is a proud moment for all of us.
Sir, throughout your association with NIC Sikkim—whether in your earlier tenure as SIO or in your distinguished role as DDG—you have always been energetic, supportive, and deeply committed to strengthening the team. Your helpful nature, timely guidance, and constant motivation have inspired us at every step and created a lasting impact.
During the General Elections 2024, your proactive support played a crucial role. You ensured that our network team received a dedicated government vehicle with driver, honorarium, lunch, petrol support, and seamless coordination with the State Government. This thoughtful facilitation made our election duties efficient, smooth, and stress-free. We remain truly grateful for it.
I would also like to humbly acknowledge that under your leadership, our team achieved many milestones.
One memorable moment for me was being honoured with a Letter of Appreciation by the Government of Sikkim on Republic Day 2025 at Palzor Stadium. This recognition as the Lead Administrator was possible only because of your trust, encouragement, and continuous guidance. With this award, the entire stadium echoed the name of our office, National Informatics Centre (NIC), multiple times — a proud and deeply emotional moment for me.
Sir, while we will surely miss your presence, we are immensely proud of your accomplishments and this well-deserved promotion.
