A partnership built on shared ambition.
At the foundation stone ceremony for ReNew's ~6.5 GW solar ingot-wafer facility in Anakapalli, Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu Garu spoke about the collaboration between Andhra Pradesh and ReNew — calling the project a "symbol of self-confidence" for the state.

This facility is a shared commitment — between a state that believes in speed of doing business and a company that believes in building from the ground up. Thousands of jobs for local communities. A fully integrated solar value chain rooted in Andhra Pradesh. A step towards making the state a global hub for clean energy manufacturing.

Towards Swarnandhra.

Towards Viksit Bharat.

Towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Andhra Pradesh and ReNew — building together.

In Andhra Pradesh, silicon becomes wafers. These wafers travel to Dholera and Jaipur, where they are engineered into solar cells, designed to convert sunlight into electricity.

Layer by layer, built for efficiency, reliability, and scale. This is where material becomes energy, and where India’s clean energy story becomes truly its own.

As we build towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat, ReNew is doing its part, building every step of this journey within India.

Every solar panel begins long before it reaches a rooftop.
It begins with a precise, careful process of turning silicon into the building blocks of clean energy.

Today, ReNew lays the foundation stone for its ingot and wafer facility in Andhra Pradesh, the silicon coast of India.

A significant moment in building a self-reliant solar future for India.
As we build towards an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, ReNew is strengthening India’s solar value chain.

Today, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, in the presence of Founder, Chairman & CEO Sumant Sinha, Co‑Founder Vaishali Nigam Sinha, and senior leaders of the Andhra Pradesh government, laid the foundation stone for ReNew’s 6.5 GW solar ingot‑wafer manufacturing facility in Anakapalli, Visakhapatnam.

With an investment of ₹4,200 crore, the plant will be commissioned within 24 months, creating over 2,100 direct and indirect jobs. This is part of ReNew’s larger ₹82,000 crore commitment to Andhra Pradesh’s green energy future—advancing Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Hon’ble Chief Minister’s vision of Swarna Andhra Pradesh.

By positioning Visakhapatnam as India’s Silicon Coast, this facility reinforces Andhra Pradesh’s emergence as a hub for advanced clean energy manufacturing. It strengthens supply chain sovereignty, builds long‑term resilience, and anchors India’s role in the global energy transition.

It starts with quartz sand, heated to extremely high temperatures, where it is transformed into pure silicon.
This is a powerful, carefully controlled process that sets the foundation for everything that follows.

This silicon is then shaped into solid blocks called ingots, the first building block of every solar panel.

As we build towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat, ReNew is bringing this value chain to Andhra Pradesh, the silicon coast of India.

Global water stress is rising: 4 billion people face scarcity each year. In India, 18% of the world’s population depends on just 4% of its freshwater.

What does Earth Day 2026 demand of us?

Co Founder, ReNew, and Chairperson Sustainability, Vaishali Nigam Sinha, reminds us: the challenge goes beyond carbon. We must confront the full spectrum of sustainability—especially water, the resource that sustains life. ReNew is embedding water stewardship into our clean energy journey—pioneering Water Positive operations, innovating across solar sites, and measuring ourselves against global benchmarks.

The vision ahead is clear: sustainability must be holistic—energy, water, ecosystems, and equity woven together to secure life itself.

Energy takes shape long before the panel. It begins with sand, refined and engineered into the materials that power solar.

ReNew is building this journey within India, from ingots and wafers to cells and modules, across Dholera, Jaipur, and Vizag. A connected solar value chain is coming to life.

In Andhra Pradesh, a sunrise state for clean energy, this next phase is taking shape.

ReNew Co Founder and Chairperson Sustainability, Vaishali Nigam Sinha, joined TIMES NOW’s Nari Shakti discussion on ‘Policy vs Reality: Bridging Gaps in Women’s Empowerment.’

Legislation reshapes mindsets, telling young women “equality is my right.” The 33% reservation in Parliament is long overdue; it is a lever for systemic change.

At ReNew, we believe empowerment cannot remain aspirational; it must be tangible—seen in representation, opportunity, and dignity. Only then does policy evolve into lived feminist progress, shaping a society where equality is not promised but practiced.

Industrial decarbonisation is not only about reducing emissions—it is about transforming the foundation of how industry operates.

At ReNew, we are advancing this transition by integrating large-scale renewables with storage, digital intelligence, and emerging solutions such as green hydrogen and carbon capture. Together, these systems are designed to meet the continuous, high-intensity energy demands of sectors like steel and cement.

By enabling reliable, round-the-clock clean energy, we are helping industries move forward with confidence in a low-carbon future.

A net-zero future demands more than ambition—it requires systems that deliver with consistency and credibility. Reliability is not an accessory to Mission Net Zero—it is its foundation.

From Jharkhand’s coal heartlands to India’s clean energy future.

ReNew has inaugurated a Centre of Excellence at Indian Institute of Technology ISM Dhanbad, scaling Project ReNew Surya—our flagship skilling initiative for communities from coal-mining regions.

After training 350+ women in the pilot, the next cohort will reach 500+ candidates across Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The goal: enable 10,000 clean energy livelihoods by 2030.
Inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, the Centre is more than a building—it’s a bridge from coal-dependent pasts to clean energy futures.

At ReNew, sustainability means ensuring the communities that powered India’s past are empowered to shape its future.
