🐝🌼 Ever Wonder How Bees Collect Pollen?
Pollen is one of the most important foods in a bee colony. Worker bees collect tiny pollen grains from flowers, pack them into pollen baskets on their hind legs, and carry them back to the hive. Inside the hive, bees use this pollen as a major source of protein and nutrients to feed developing young bees and support the colony.
Beekeepers can also collect excess pollen using special pollen traps at the hive entrance—but only when it can be done without compromising the colony’s food supply.
Every tiny pollen load has a big job to do. 🌼🐝🍯
