📕BEV ( Battery Electric Vehicles) are both FARCE and FART. First of all, they save neither the Environment nor Costs of Ownerships.
1. Firstly the Battery Charging being predominantly a Function of Night when No Sun ( Solar) is available and Wind is Feeble ( Intermittent), it ends up putting Greater Dependence on Grid Base Load Coal Thermal Power. Meaning, when compared to CNG Vehicles, the Polution or Carbon ( CO2 ) Green House Gas ( GHG) Emission goes 77% higher with BEVs.
2. The Lithium Batteries, inspite of all Claims to Contrary, are Not Maintenance Friendly and can Conk off in a Year or Two for 2-Whhelers & Max 3-4 Years for 4-Wheelers.
So the Cost of Ownership of the BEV, while being already CAPEX heavy compared to a Petrol or CNG Vehicle, goes up further.
3. No Manufacturer is Explaining the Environmental Challenges of Mining of Lithium, Use of Cobalt & Nickel in the batteries, all of which are Environmentally Unsustainable.
4. There is No Discourse on the Need for Recycling Tech and other factors thereof emerging from point 3 above.
5. With CBG ( Compressed Bio Gas) / BioCNG getting favour and availability rising with the conversion from Hybrid AGRO ( Sugarcane Press Mud, Parali, Rice Husk etc ) + Animal Husbandry ( Cow/Buffalo or Cattle Dung) becoming economical for Purified Upgraded Raw BioGas to CBG for automotive application in 100% Combustible mode, the Foolishness of BEV Policy is Exposed.
6. The Only Real EV ( Electric Vehicle) of future is HFCEV ( Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle) for which one has to wait for the Hydrogen Economy to Emerge. CBG/ BioCNG is the Best Energy Transition Fuel.
