🚨MSEDCL PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in Maharashtra🚨
Honorable PM Narendra Modi ji, your vision of a solar-powered India is being hampered by unilateral decisions in Maharashtra!
Since February 13, 2026, MSEDCL (Mahavitaran) has suddenly restricted solar rooftop capacity based on the last 12-month average consumption—without any official notice or industry consultation. This move is unfairly penalizing households and stalling the PM Suryaghar Yojana in our state.
Why this policy is damaging:
Restricts Future Growth: Families install solar to prepare for future needs like Electric Vehicles (EVs) and air conditioners. Restricting them to "past usage" makes these future plans impossible.
Hurts New Homeowners: Families in newly built homes have zero consumption history and are being denied the capacity they actually need.
Maharashtra accounts for 25% of India's residential solar adoption. We cannot let arbitrary portal changes derail this progress!
We urge the Government to intervene immediately and restore the rule allowing capacity based on Sanctioned Load, as per standard practice across India.
