World Students' Day

15th October is marked as World Students' Day across the globe to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great Indian Scientist and former President of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam who loved to teach and that is how he wanted to be remembered.
Back in the year 2010, the United Nations decided to honor Dr. Abdul Kalam for his contribution in promoting the importance of education and encouraging millions of students through his speeches by declaring his birthday as World Students' Day.
This day is observed in schools, colleges and educational institutions as it is vital to set an example for the students for what dreaming big and hard work can do. Hence it's important that we celebrate this day to remember a man who spent his life for the betterment of the nation, society, and students.

The festival of Dussehra or Vijayadashami celebrates the victory of good over evil, symbolized in Indian mythology by the slaying of the demon king Ravana by Rama, and by the killing of the monster Mahisasura by Goddess Durga.
To make our celebration of Vijayadashami meaningful, we must resolve on this occasion to take at least one step towards conquering our weaknesses, so that each year we move closer to attaining victory over them. This is the only way we can sublimate the negative propensities of Ravana living in our minds.

Wishing you all a very Happy Dussehra !!!
