It was a good beginning for IIL at the US BIO, the world’s largest Biotech event happening in San Diego, USA from 22nd to 25th of June 2026. IIL is exhibiting and seeking research and manufacturing opportunities from potential partners across the globe who are represented here from many countries. We were encouraged by the visit of Dr.K.J.Srinivasa, Hon. Consul General, Consulate General of India, Los Angeles, USA to our stall.

It is pertinent to note that IIL developed India’s first vaccine for Hepatitis A virus through an active collaboration with Center for Disease Control (CDC), Atlanta. IIL is represented at the US BIO by Dr.K.Anand Kumar, Managing Director, Sarthak Vasudeva, Sr.VP, Dr. Pradeep Gupta, VP, R&D.

We are known for balancing profits and social good. IIL has undertaken many community projects to foster education in rural India. In addition to adopting three Government schools in Telangana where the entire expenses are borne by the company which includes infrastructure expenditure, school bags, shoes, uniforms, daily provision of fortified-flavoured milk to all the students, additional items that strengthen health during lunch time, security to the school etc, we have also undertaken projects to provide toilets (esp girl children) to Government schools in Gollapatti, Pollachi and Anaimalai. Nearly 2500 children in Government schools in Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu are provided 200 mL of flavoured, fortified milk daily.

In continuation of these noble causes, on the 12th of June 2026 along with Rotary Club of Pollachi to whom IIL spared a donation of Rs 3750000, 4 new classrooms were built much to the delight of children and their parents, as otherwise they were sitting on the floor and learning in a class without a roof. The teachers too expressed immense satisfaction at our gesture. The inauguration of these classrooms was done by our Managing Director Dr.K.Anand Kumar in the presence of Rotarians and the common public.

Unlike many of us born in rural villages and who had to leave our place of birth, family, cousins in the name of education to far-off places, the desire of IIL is to minimise such displacement and provide adequate infrastructure as much as possible at the local level. When rural villages progress, India definitely will. When children are in close proximity to their parents, well-groomed will they be.

Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL) successfully organized another enriching session on Lessons in Leadership Series today at the AOC Auditorium, IIL Gachibowli campus, bringing together management staff of IIL for a thought-provoking session.

The session was initiated by our Managing Director, Dr. K. Anand Kumar, who welcomed the distinguished speakers and emphasized the importance of continuous learning, innovation, and leadership in navigating an ever-evolving world.

The event featured eminent experts from the fields of public health, education, and technology. Dr. Vishwa Mohan Katoch, Former Secretary, Department of Health Research (MoHFW), Government of India; Former Director General, ICMR; and Former President, AIIMS Madurai, shared his insights on “Infectious Diseases of Public Health Priority in India.” Dr. S. S. Mantha, Chancellor, RBU (Nagpur); Former Chairman, AICTE; and Emeritus Professor, VJTI, shared his perspectives on the “Future of AI in Life Sciences.” Prof. Sandeep Sancheti, Vice President – Research Relations & Academic Advisory, Elsevier (India), and former Director of leading NITs, delivered an engaging session on the “Future of Education.”

The sessions became even more enriching through the active participation of IIL leaders, who engaged the speakers with insightful questions and thoughtful discussions.

It was a “Feel Good” moment to donate Rs.40,00,000 as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to one of India’s premier research institutes, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru today. The cheque was presented by our Managing Director Dr.K.Anand Kumar to the Director of this prestigious institute Professor Dr. Govindan Rangarajan in the presence of many scientists, including Prof Usha Vijayaraghavan, Dean of Biological Sciences, Prof Sundar Swaminarayan, Chair, Department of Nephrology, Prof KJ Vinoy, Chair, ODAA, Prof Siddharth Jhunjhunwala, Department of Bioengineering and Dr.Pradeep Gupta, Head of R&D at Indian Immunologicals ltd.

Our ability to balance beautifully between making money (Profits) and Social Good is having a profound impact of our business and the respectability earned as a result.

IIL and IISc have worked together on the development of vaccines and one such product Elovac B (recombinant hepatitis B vaccine) has significantly provided affordability to our Universal Immunisation Programme run by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. What once was a Rs.1000 Hep B vaccine in the 90s sold by a multinational is now made available in India for Rs.10.

Other areas of collaboration were discussed between the two groups.
