Solar on stadiums, stadiums running on Solar 🏟️

1) 🇯🇵 Japan National Stadium, Tokyo - The Olympics in Tokyo are supposedly (disputed) compliant with the United Nations' 17 sustainable development goals. They have also housed Solar Panels on the stadium's roof.

2) 🇺🇲Mercedez Benz Stadium, Atlanta - Atlanta Falcons's and Atlanta United FC's stadium has a 1.6 MW Solar power plant in the stadium's premises. It's enough to power 9 games per year.

3)🇮🇳Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai - Closer home, Brabourne Stadium meets 25% of its electricity needs from Solar panels on its rooftops. (Executed by Excelsior Engineering Solutions)

India will levy a 40% customs tax on imports of solar modules from April next year to cut dependence on foreign supplies and boost domestic manufacturing of the equipment, the renewable energy ministry said.
