He started a small huller type Rice mill with an initial investment of Rs.50,000 with the help of Syndicate Bank, friends and relatives. So he gave the name as Sri Navadurga Industries. Initially they dry the boiled paddy in the open yard. In initial stage the production was only 10 quintals of boiled rice per day. We installed automatic paddy drier in 1982 and emerges as a modernized rice mill in
1992. These are the result of B. Venkatesh Kamath's hard work, workers co-operation and also his customers and suppliers co-operation .But after the sad and sudden demise of B. Venkatesh Kamath in 1999, his wife B. Jayashree Kamath and his son B. Srikanth Kamath carried out the unit. So proprietorship of Sri Navadurga industries was converted into partnership firm in 1999. Another partner Smitha kamath joined as partner in the year 2002. We have carved an eminent position in the Udupi and DK market with our strong determination and ceaseless efforts, the industry stays ahead of its competitors.
