KITCO Ltd

KITCO Ltd KITCO: India's First Technical Consultancy Organisation of Kerala along with Public Sector Banks for aiding in Industrialization of the state of Kerala.

KITCO Limited (formerly Kerala Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation Ltd.), India’s first TCO (Technical Consultancy Organisation), was established in 1972 by Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) and Govt. The aim of this initiative, which had the blessing of Govt. of India and the Reserve Bank of India, was to provide professional technical consultancy assistance to banks by ap

praisal of projects for priority sector lending and to entrepreneurs in the SME Sector by way of preparation of Project Reports & Market Studies and by conducting training programmes for entrepreneurship development. Subsequently similar TCOs were set up in almost all the states with one of the National Financial Institution (IDBI, IFCI or ICICI) as the prime shareholder. Over the years, the environment and the market in which KITCO was operating underwent material changes, which necessitated a qualitative shift in the status of KITCO from a consultancy firm handling project reports, market surveys, etc. to a multi-functional, multi-disciplinary organization offering a wide range of services to the industrial and infrastructure sector, and to a wide spectrum of clientele, including those outside the geographic bounds of the country. The diversification enabled KITCO to offer consultancy services for implementation of projects under one roof from “Concept to Commissioning” and obtain a stamp of approval from clients in other areas like Operation & Maintenance, Energy Studies, Asset Valuation, Skill Certification, Certification of Vocational Courses, Placement Services, etc. KITCO now has a multi-national presence and is registered with World Bank and Asian Development Bank. The strength of KITCO is its core team of well qualified and experienced professionals in various branches of engineering and in management, marketing, economics, finance, etc., numbering more than 100. KITCO’s Head Office at the main business centre of Cochin is well equipped with all necessary infrastructure, hardware and software, required by the professionals to work in a stimulating ambience, in order to bring out the best in them. KITCO’s other offices are located at Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai, and KITCO Placement Park, the recruitment & training centre, is at Kalamassery near Kochi (Cochin). Today, KITCO has got significant presence across the geographical border of the nation also. In 2010, the overseas expansion drive of KITCO got a shot in the arm with the formation of a Joint Venture Company with Al Quraishi Electrical Services of Saudi Arabia (AQESA). The JVC, 'The Industrial Project Services Company (IPSC)’ is to provide technical and management consultancy services to existing and potential clients in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.
