The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar (CITK) organized a One-Day Workshop on Universal Human Values and Studentsβ Multimedia Exhibition on 2nd April 2026 in the institute premise. The programme was conducted as an extended component of the Universal Human Values credit course for second semester students, a mandatory course prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education under the National Education Policy 2020.
The workshop aimed to foster awareness and practice of human values in daily life. It featured sessions by Smt. Bhaotina Mushahary, Co-founder and Managing Trustee of Action for Inclusion & Empowerment Trust, who delivered a talk on βUniversal Human Values in Daily Life: From Thought to Behaviour,β and Sri Mahananda Brahma, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, CIT Kokrajhar, who spoke on βQuantum Principles and Universal Human Values: A Comparative Enquiry.β He also conducted a self-awareness activity focusing on the interrelation of mind, body, and self.
Students actively participated in interactive sessions and a multimedia exhibition showcasing creative expressions on human values. The event concluded with a cultural programme featuring performances by students and faculty members, reflecting the spirit of harmony, creativity, and shared human values.
The programme was attended by Deans, Heads of Departments, Registrar, faculty members, staff, and students, and successfully reinforced the importance of value-based living in academic and social life.
