How can cities meet the growing demand for electric vehicle (EV) charging without straining the power grid or frustrating users?

A newly published study presents a context-aware machine learning model that predicts EV charging demand by analyzing both driver behavior and environmental conditions. These demand forecasts are used to deploy Mobile Charging Stations (MCS) through zone-based energy auctions, enabling real-time, optimized charging infrastructure.

Looking to demystify the layers of AI? Let’s unwrap it together!

At the core of the revolutionary tech we interact with daily sits Artificial Intelligence (AI), a driving force of innovation that seems to wrap its digital tendrils around every facet of our modern lives. AI, in its essence, is the overarching term that covers all computer operations which mimic human intelligence—think of it as the brain of the operation.

Nestled within AI, we discover Machine Learning (ML). ML is the heart pumping life into AI, enabling systems to learn from data, identify patterns, and make decisions with minimal human intervention. It’s the piece of the puzzle that allows AI to adapt without being explicitly programmed to perform specific tasks.

Dig a little deeper, and you hit the layer of Deep Learning (DL). DL is a specialized subset of ML, comprising algorithms inspired by the structure and function of the brain's neural networks. It's the deeper cognitive process that lets AI tackle more complex, human-like tasks.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is gaining popularity in the Internet of Things (IoT) based application-based solution development. Whereas, Blockchain is become unavoidable in IoT for maintaining the end-to-end process in the decentralized approach. Combining these two current-age technologies, this paper details a brief comparative study with the implementations and further analyzes the adaptability of the AI-based solution in the Blockchain-integrated IoT architecture. This work focuses on identifying the of block data in the block validation stage using AI-based approaches. Several supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised learning algorithms are analyzed to determine a block's data sensitivity. It is identified that machine learning techniques can identify a block's data with very high accuracy. By utilizing this, the block's sensitivity can be identified, which can help the system to reduce the energy consumption of the block validation stage by dynamically choosing an appropriate consensus mechanism.

This research article has been accepted at the OCIT 2022 (IEEE) Conference for publication after peer review.

All papers submitted to CINE 2020 will undergo a peer-review process and the submitted paper will be reviewed by at least two reviewers. All papers are reviewed using a single-blind review process: authors declare their names and affiliations in the paper for the reviewers to see, but reviewers do not know each other's identities, nor do the authors receive information about who has reviewed their paper. It is the author's responsibility to make sure that the paper conforms to the conference requirements.

Papers need to be prepared according to the IEEE Conference double column format and submitted in PDF format via the CINE-2022 submission site through Easychair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cine2022

Maximum length of each paper is 6 pages. Papers must be unpublished and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere. One can find the Latex Template at the Overleaf IEEE Conference Template.
