Never drive between two trucks. Physics will pull you under their wheels.

Venturi Effect: Gap between trucks = invisible nozzle. Air speeds up → static pressure drops.

Bernoulli’s Principle: High velocity = Low pressure. You create a “highway vacuum.”

Higher outside pressure PUSHES your car/bike into the low-pressure death zone. Same effect capsized ships in the Suez.

Your bowl is cold. Your soup is scalding. Why?

Microwaves don’t heat from the outside in. They bypass conduction entirely.

Every water molecule is a tiny dipole — positive on one end, negative on the other.

A microwave blasts a 2.45 GHz electric field. That’s 2.45 billion reversals per second. Each water molecule flips to align, smashing into neighbors. Those collisions = massive molecular friction.

Friction = heat.

Ceramic has no dipoles. So the bowl stays cold while the soup boils.

Why does spaghetti always snap, never just bend?

Euler’s Critical Load: P_{cr} = π²EI / (L_e)². Slender columns fail by buckling, not crushing.

Lever of Doom Loop: Tiny curve → bending moment → column bows → lever arm grows → SNAP.

Engineers fight it: I-Beams push mass away from center. Fixed supports cut effective length in half = 4x stronger.

Two trucks side by side create a deadly physics problem.

1. Continuity: The gap is a nozzle. A₁V₁ = A₂V₂. Smaller area → air violently accelerates.
2. Bernoulli: Fast air = severe low pressure zone between trucks.
3. Atmospheric push: Normal high pressure outside shoves everything — including you — into that vacuum.

A motorcycle caught in the middle isn’t being “sucked in.” It’s being crushed by 14.7 PSI of atmospheric pressure from the sides.

Never hold position between two semis. Escape the gap.

Entropy is why you can’t un-break an egg. And why the universe will die.

Second Law: Ordered macrostate = 1 way. Chaotic microstates = trillions of ways. Probability always wins.

Boltzmann: S = k_B lnΩ. More microstates = higher entropy = time moves forward.

Heat Death: Max entropy = no energy gradients = eternal, cold balance.

h is the most guessed number in heat transfer. 🔥

Engineers look up "typical h values," pick one that feels right, and call it engineering. But h isn't a material constant — it's a result. And if you don't calculate it properly, it will fail quietly until something breaks loudly.
Swipe for the full breakdown: what h actually measures, why it varies by 10,000×, and the 3 dimensionless numbers that let you calculate it correctly for any situation. 👉

Save this. The cheat sheet on the last slide is the one reference you'll use in every convection problem.

Liquid that turns into solid armor on impact. Science, not sci-fi.

Shear Thickening Fluid: At rest, particles slide like lubricant. Bullet hits = “Microscopic Traffic Jam.” Particles lock into hydroclusters — instant solid barrier.

Used in Enhanced Kevlar: Flexible until the microsecond of impact. Power Law n > 1 means viscosity spikes with shear rate.
