The manufacturing plant was set up at Unsani, P.S Jagacha, Howrah in the state of West Bengal with the initial installed capacity of 12,500 Tons per annum. Soon the Company acquired the licensee Bureau of Indian Standard IS:3989 & IS:1726 and the company's products were sold under the brand name "HEPCO" and " BPL", thus exhibiting the highest quality standards. Soon, with the passage of time, the Company installed the first centrifugal soil pipe casting machines in Eastern India and was the second Company in India to embark on such a modernization process.
