The Ministry of Mines has launched an e-waste collection drive under Special Campaign 6 across more than 44 locations to promote responsible recycling and resource recovery. Coordinated by JNARDDC, the initiative aims to strengthen the circular economy by recovering valuable critical minerals and encouraging public participation (Jan Bhagidari).

The Union Cabinet has approved 'Samudra Manthan', a ₹84,084 crore Central Sector Scheme of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas to be implemented by FY 2030–31. The scheme aims to strengthen India's energy security by accelerating offshore oil and gas exploration through seismic surveys, deepwater drilling, offshore infrastructure, and advanced technologies. It is expected to add over 600 MMTOE of oil and gas reserves, boost domestic production, generate employment, promote Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, and attract significant investments in the offshore energy sector.

India Mining Week 2026 is India's first and largest mining summit, to be held from 15–17 November 2026 at Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi. Organized by the Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Mines, the event will bring together 25,000+ delegates, 500+ exhibitors, and participants from 50+ countries. The summit will focus on critical minerals, advanced mining technologies, sustainability, automation, digitalization, and mine safety under the theme "Stronger Resources, Smarter Mining, Sustainable Tomorrow."
