Set on a steep site in Thottumukkam, this home adapts gracefully to the terrain with three stepped levels that follow the natural contours.
The lowest level houses agricultural storage and a rubber processing room, reflecting the client’s farming background.
The second level connects to the slope with a porch, utility, and service zones, while the top level forms the main residence, enjoying openness, light, and panoramic views.
By aligning each floor to the land’s natural gradient, the design reduces excavation, cost, and structural risk.
Rooted in Kerala’s vernacular sensibility yet modern in function, House of Contours stands as a dialogue between architecture, land, and livelihood. 🌿
