Thirty-five years ago, when we started SKF, we made a simple commitment.
Build technology that helps millers get the best value from every grain.
That commitment has guided every decision we've made since 1990.
Today, it's humbling to see SKF technology operating in more than 5,000 plants across 12 countries. Being recognised as a Star Export House by the Government of India is an honour, but what means even more is the trust our customers have placed in us over the years.
Over three decades in this industry have taught me that progress isn't measured only by the machines you build. It's measured by the results those machines deliver every single day.
That's why every innovation at SKF has been driven by one question: How can we help millers process grain more efficiently while protecting its quality?
The answer has led us to develop technologies like our patented LAM Air Drying System, CGPS Online Cooker, and IoT-enabled Integrated Automation, all designed to give processors greater control, consistency, and confidence.
The impact is reflected in measurable outcomes:
• 20–30% reduction in drying time, helping mills improve throughput.
• Around 2% lower broken rice, leading to better head rice recovery.
• 25–30% lower energy consumption through more efficient operations.
These numbers represent more than performance. They represent years of listening to millers, understanding their challenges, and continuously refining our engineering.
As we continue working with partners across India and in growing markets like Nigeria, our purpose remains the same as it was on day one.
To build reliable technology that helps millers recover more, waste less, and get the most from every harvest.
Thank you to every customer, partner, and member of the SKF family for being part of this journey.
We count every grain because every grain counts.
