SolarMobil Manipal is Manipal University’s official student solar vehicle team. It was established in 2011 with the motto “Imagineering the Future”. We are a group of budding, environmentally conscious students of Manipal Institute of Technology from different fields of engineering. The team shares a common ethos of using their knowledge and skill towards a greener, cleaner and better future. Our
vision is to become a leading student center of research and development in the field of green transportation with a focus on solar passenger vehicles in the next five years. SolarMobil Manipal is one of the three institutional teams in India to have built a solar car and the only team in India to have designed, fabricated and demonstrated from scratch a passenger solar vehicle. Since its inception, SolarMobil Manipal has successfully completed four projects
