India’s agricultural progress depends not only on better farming, but on stronger integration between farmers, technology, processing infrastructure, and industry.

An insightful panel discussion on DD Kisan around “Agri-Tech and Modern Processing Technologies – The Growing Use of Spray Drying” highlighted a critical reality: sustainable farmer prosperity cannot come from production alone — it must come from value creation, resource efficiency, and decentralized processing ecosystems.

India produces enormous agricultural output, yet post-harvest losses and limited processing infrastructure continue to impact farmer profitability. Modern processing technologies such as spray drying are emerging as important solutions by converting perishable produce into stable, value-added products with longer shelf life, easier transportation, reduced storage dependency, and improved market access.

Mr. Vivek Verma, Managing Director, Spray Engineering Devices Limited., emphasized the need to build integrated rural processing ecosystems where food processing, renewable energy, crop residue utilization, and decentralized industrial infrastructure work together to improve farmer incomes and create globally competitive agricultural value chains. Reflecting this approach, SED continues to contribute through technologies across food processing, spray drying, biofuels, energy-efficient systems, and integrated agri-value chains.

Other distinguished panelists who also shared insightful perspective were:
* Dr. Vijay Kumar Narayan Rao Kale, Additional Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare
* Mr. Lalit Kumar Tyagi, Director, FPO
* Ms Fiza Kazmi, Journalist covering the agriculture sector

The session was ably anchored by Haider Zaidi on DD Kisan.

A key takeaway from the session was that farmers of the future will not only cultivate crops — they will build enterprises around value-added agriculture.

India’s farming sector needs more conversations that connect agriculture with innovation, sustainability, and industrial collaboration, because empowering farmers requires empowering the entire ecosystem around them.

✔️ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝘀𝗲

Across the specialty chemicals sector, industries are no longer viewing wastewater treatment as a backend utility operation. It is increasingly becoming a strategic investment tied directly to:
* 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
* 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀
* 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀
* 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆

As water stress intensifies and environmental expectations evolve, the future of industrial growth will belong to manufacturers that can produce more while consuming less.

A mother’s love is not defined by what she gave up for herself, but by how completely she shows up for the lives she touches - often building strength not just in her home, but in the world around her.

Some set aside their dreams.
Some pursue their own while helping others pursue theirs.
Some nurture homes, some lead businesses, and some do both, each shaping their world in their own remarkable way.

Motherhood has no single definition. Yet every mother leaves behind something enduring, strength in silence, warmth in action, courage in uncertainty, and a love that quietly transforms lives.

In many ways, motherhood also reflects sustainability, a commitment to nurturing life, building resilience, and creating a better future for the next generation.

This Mother’s Day, we honour every mother, for who she is, for all that she carries, and for everything she gives with unwavering heart.

Happy Mother’s Day from Spray Engineering Devices Limited.
