BPCL is enabling Sacred Community Kitchens across India

We are ensuring uninterrupted energy, consistent pressure and reliable operations for those who need it most, by supplying Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to institutions that serve thousands. From Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib to Gurdwara Sri Nanak Jhira Saheb and Gurdwara Singh Sabha, these community kitchens serve between 3,000-4,000 devotees daily, to 20,000+ on weekends, and up to 5 lakh during major festivals. With dedicated technical support during peak demand, BPCL delivers certainty, efficiency, and peace of mind to kitchens that feed the nation.

At Gurdwara Sri Nanak Jhira Saheb in Bidar, BPCL supplies PNG to the 24x7 Langar, which serves 4,000+ devotees daily, along with the girls' hostel. Building on this association, Bidar GA is proud to share the successful signing of an MoU with Gurdwara Sri Nanak Jhira Sahib, Bidar, for PNG-D supply to 160 staff quarters. BPCL Bina Refinery launched Project Sheetal in the presence of Shri Vijay Deheriya, Deputy Collector, Sagar, Shri Akhilesh Jain, District Education Officer, and Shri Rohit Yadav, DGM (HR), Bina Refinery, along with Shri Sayan Chatterjee, Manager (HR-CSR), Bina Refinery, at Rani Durgawati School, Cantonment Sagar.

In many communities, menstruation continues to be surrounded by silence—impacting the confidence, health, and education of young girls. Limited access to safe products and awareness often turns a natural process into a barrier.

Project Sheetal addresses this with care and intent, reaching over 10,000 girls and women across schools, hostels, and remote villages in Sagar and Vidisha. By enabling access to reusable sanitary pads and encouraging informed conversations, the initiative supports both dignity and continuity in everyday life.

Through this effort, BPCL Bina Refinery reinforces its commitment to community well-being—advancing health awareness while promoting sustainable practices that create meaningful impact at the grassroots level.

Biryani banana aksar long process lagta hai, alag rice cooking, heavy masala aur multiple steps. Lekin Muradabadi Biryani isse simple bana deti hai.

Iss episode mein, MasterChef Ajay Chopra dikha rahe hain Muradabadi Biryani, jahan chicken aur rice ek hi pot mein cook hote hain. Light masala aur short cooking time ki wajah se flavours subtle rehte hain aur preparation bhi fast ho jaati hai.

Muradabadi Biryani

Ingredients

For Marination:
Chicken – 500 g
Lemon juice – from ½ lemon
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Jeera powder – 1 tbsp
Black peppercorns – 10–12 (crushed)
Black cardamom – 1 pc
Green cardamom – 4 pcs
Cinnamon – ½ inch
Cloves – 8–10 pcs
Bay leaf – 1 pc
Curd – 1 cup
Kewra water – 1 tbsp
Mace – 1 pc
Star anise – 1–2 pcs

For Biryani:
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Onion (sliced) – 1 cup
Green chillies – 4 (slit)
Marinated chicken
Kewra water – ½ tsp
Lemon slices – 2
Basmati rice – 1½ cups (soaked 20–30 mins)
Water – approx 2½ to 3 cups (just enough to cover rice)

Method:

Marination:
Mix chicken with all the marination ingredients and let it rest for at least 30 minutes, ideally 1–2 hours for better flavour.

Base Cooking:
Heat ghee and oil, add sliced onions and sauté till soft and light golden. Add green chillies, then add the marinated chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes till it releases aroma and starts cooking.

Layering & Cooking:
Add kewra water and lemon slices. Spread soaked rice evenly on top. Pour water just enough to cover the rice. Cover with a tight lid. Place this pot over another flat pan filled with salt and cook on low heat. This method retains heat evenly, gives a perfect dum, and helps save gas.

Finish:
Cook for 15–20 minutes, rest for 5 minutes, then gently fluff from the sides without overmixing.
