Where does an in-mould label actually go?

Inside the mould, before the container exists.

The printed label is placed in the mould and the plastic is injected around it. The decoration becomes part of the container as it forms. That brings four practical benefits:

Integrated decoration: label and container form one finished pack.
No post-mould labelling: one less step after production.
Moisture and scuff resistance: designed for chilled storage and handling, depending on the container and filling environment.
Monomaterial design support: a PP label on a PP container can support a single-material structure, subject to the complete pack design and local recycling infrastructure.

A pen is judged by hand before it's judged by eye.

On a pen barrel, the grip zone takes the most contact: fingers, pressure, repeated handling. If decoration is planned without that zone in mind, wear shows exactly where it matters.

With Heat Transfer Labels, we plan barrel geometry, artwork position and grip-zone layout together, before production starts. The aim is clean, consistent decoration on small-diameter cylindrical barrels, subject to substrate and application requirements.

A pack is only as recyclable as its most complicated part. When a container and its label are made from different materials, that mismatch is exactly what complicates recovery at end of life.
