In November 2017, they partnered with 7 PARALLELS Techno-Consultants Pvt. Ltd. to install a 26kWp Solar Power Plant, marking a pivotal moment in their commitment to environmental stewardship.
Solar Energy System: The solar power plant, a fixed, roof-mounted array comprising 95 solar panels, became the cornerstone of this Housing Society's energy infrastructure. This system seamlessly integrated into their daily operations, powering essential amenities such as floor lights, staircase lights, elevator operations, and water pumps.
Prior to the installation, the society grappled with hefty monthly electricity bills ranging from ₹60,000 to ₹70,000. However, with the advent of solar energy, they experienced a transformative reduction of approximately 50%, translating to savings of ₹30,000 to ₹35,000 per month.
The initial investment of ₹17,00,000 for the installation, inclusive of fabrication costs, promised substantial long-term benefits.The heart of the system lies in the Polycab inverter, offering a reliable storage solution for the generated electricity.
Additionally, the implementation of lightning arresters and earthing rods ensured the protection of the solar infrastructure, safeguarding against potential damage from lightning strikes.
The impact of this Housing Society's transition to solar power reverberates through tangible results. With an annual production of 37,440 kWh, equivalent to 3,120 units per month, they have significantly reduced their carbon footprint while simultaneously bolstering financial savings.
Moreover, the warranty-backed reliability of the Polycab inverter instills confidence in the longevity of their investment.
