Innovation Cell provides infrastructural facilities to nurture inventions among students from various disciplines. Over the years it has evolved from nurturing small hobby projects to solving complex industrial challenges and representing IIT Bombay at various national and international forums.

Today UMIC bids farewell to these extraordinary people. Their constant support and guidance helped us sail through the past year and all of its challenges. They were there with us along every step of the way, giving us not just technical knowledge but so many more lessons in life. They have been there for us through the toughest of times. Every one of them gave their best to UMIC and inspired each of us to do the same.

While we are deeply saddened to see them go, the team wishes them the best for all their future pursuits. But with every end must come a new beginning and armed with all the knowledge they have given us, we will put in our best effort to make them proud and continue their legacy.

Altair Optimisation Contest (AOC) is an annual contest organised by Altair in support of engineering education in India. The participants are required to make use of Altair simulation software to solve one out of the four problem areas given.
Applicable to All engineering students and Faculties.

Industry-Academia interaction can lead to improvement in quality education, and this is the need of the hour. AOC2022 facilitates competency building to bridge the gap between industry requirements and the technical education system by providing solutions that make technical institutes more aligned with industry needs and graduate students industry-ready.
