Employers' Federation of India - EFI

Employers' Federation of India - EFI Nippon-Keidanren also conducts training programs in India on key aspects of Japanese Management relevant in the Indian context.

Since its inception in 1933, EFI has strived to achieve its vision of protecting, promoting and championing the interests of employers mainly in the area of human resources, industrial relations, labour problems and cognate matters. The Federation represents the employers' concerns and views at various tripartite fora of the Ministry of Labour, such as Standing Labour Committee, Indian Labour Conf

erence and other industry committees and sub-committees at state and national levels. The Federation is a key constituent of the Council of Indian Employers (CIE), along with the All India Organizations of Employers (AIOE) and Standing Conference of Public Enterprise (SCOPE). The Federation represents Indian employers at the international level as a member of Confederation of Asia-Pacific Employers and the International Organisation of Employers (IOE). In addition, the Federation participates in the deliberations of statutory and non-statutory bodies such as: Employees State Insurance Corporation, Employees Provident Fund Organisation, Contract Labour Advisory Boards, Workers Education Schemes and other institutions of education and science. The Federation represents Indian employers at the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva and at International Organisation of Employers (IOE) - a world body of employers in Geneva. The Federation is also associated with Nippon-Keidanren International Co-operation Center, Tokyo - an integral part of Japan Business Federation, which annually conducts a meeting of Employers' Organizations of South Asian countries to deliberate on issues of common concerns and also provides opportunities to Indian professionals to visit Japan for study tours, training programs and other learning opportunities on relevance of Japanese systems and processes. The Federation is also associated with Korean Employers Federation. The Federation has, as its members, leading chambers of commerce, industry associations, and also leading business organizations throughout the country.
