The Pune-Bengaluru Greenfield Expressway is expected to get Union Cabinet clearance in the first quarter of 2026, after being pending since 2023. This 700 km, six-lane expressway aims to reduce travel time between Pune and Bengaluru to approximately seven hours, easing congestion on the existing NH-48 corridor. The project, part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana, will connect Pune Outer Ring Road to Bengaluru's Satellite Town Ring Road, benefiting commuters and businesses
