Some moments make you pause, reflect and feel deeply grateful. This was one of them.
I am humbled and honoured to receive the Legacy Leader Award 2026 by Arvind Mafatlal Group, recognised as “The Solar Man of India” and Director of Green India Initiative Private Limited. I am deeply humbled and honoured to have received this award alongside Mr. Suyog Gangavane, CEO of Green India Initiative Pvt. Ltd.
For me, this award carries the meaning of the journey behind it—the challenges, the lessons, the people who believed in our purpose, and the communities whose lives we strive to brighten through solar energy.
Receiving this honour at the hands of Leander Paes, an Olympic medallist and legendary Indian tennis champion, made the moment especially memorable. His determination and extraordinary journey are an inspiration.
It was also a privilege to share the stage with Shri Tukaram Mundhe, IAS, Commissioner, FDA, Government of Maharashtra, and Shri Priyavrata Mafatlal, Vice Chairman, Arvind Mafatlal Group.
Held at Grand Hyatt on 23 October 2026, the ceremony celebrated Legacy Leaders – The Makers of Tomorrow, an initiative by the Arvind Mafatlal Group in association with Network18 Media & Investments Limited Media & Investments Limited, recognising meaningful and lasting contributions to India.
To my team at Green India Initiative, our partners, supporters and every community that has placed its trust in us—this honour belongs to all of you.
Thank you to the organisers and jury for recognising our work. I return from this moment with a grateful heart and a deeper sense of responsibility to reach more lives through clean energy.
There is still so much light to bring. ☀️
