Two locations. 160 grape growers. And many meaningful conversations. 🍇
Over the last few days, I had the opportunity to spend time with grape growers at Lakhmapur, Nashik and Savlaj, Sangli.
Around 80 farmers joined us at each location, but what made these meetings special was not the number—it was the interaction.
We started with a discussion on the role of Biostimulants in grapes, particularly how they can support plant physiology, nutrient-use efficiency and stress management at different stages of the crop.
But very soon, the sessions became much more than a presentation.
Farmers shared their field experiences, raised practical questions and discussed the challenges they are facing in their vineyards. And that is always the most valuable part for me.
I strongly believe that farmers know their crop better than anyone else. Science and technology become truly useful only when we connect them with what farmers are actually observing in the field.
Every such meeting teaches us something too.
It reminds me why I enjoy being in this industry—you may go to the field to share knowledge, but you always come back having learned something yourself.
Thank you to all the grape growers at Lakhmapur and Savlaj for your time, questions, openness and trust.
Credibility in agribusiness is created in the field, not in the boardroom. 🌱
