FROM THE FOREST TRAILS TO PROJECT SHIKHAR
Every journey towards excellence begins with a single step, and last weekend our employees from Pune, Khopoli, and CBD Belapur took many of those steps at the Durshet Forest Marathon 2026.

A big thank you to the organizers Runbuddies.Club for creating an exceptional experience that encouraged fitness, perseverance, and community.

Much like our Project Shikhar, our five-year roadmap towards achieving ambitious goals, every marathon is a journey fueled by consistency, resilience, and the courage to keep moving forward. Each step taken on the trail reflects the mindset needed to reach greater heights together.

To all our participants: Thank you for representing our organization with such energy and passion. Your efforts inspire us all to keep pushing boundaries, supporting one another, and striving towards new milestones.

REPRESENTING INDIA AT FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW

It was both a busy and highly engaging event to participate in, providing valuable insights into the evolving manufacturing landscape.

One of the key observations was the strong participation and growing influence of companies from Asia, with India emerging as a particularly significant contributor. We had the opportunity to interact with several senior management representatives who were keen to understand the raw material supply chain and explore future collaboration opportunities.

It was encouraging to learn that many new companies are planning to establish operations and expand their capabilities over the coming years. Our discussions also highlighted a clear industry transition from conventional machining to more advanced and complex precision machining technologies. Furthermore, there was a strong indication that new engine component projects from global engine manufacturers are increasingly finding their way into the Indian market, creating substantial growth opportunities for the sector.

Overall, the event reinforced the positive outlook for India's manufacturing ecosystem and its expanding role in the global supply chain.

The conversations were not centered on whether Indian companies can become part of the global aerospace ecosystem; rather, the focus was on how quickly they can scale their capabilities to meet the growing demands of the industry.

A key takeaway was that trust, built consistently over many years, remains the defining factor in determining who receives the call when an OEM is looking for a new strategic partner.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the customers, partners, and industry leaders we had the opportunity to meet. A special appreciation goes to our extraordinary colleagues whose dedication, teamwork, and commitment made our presence at the event an overwhelming success.

We wanted to find out. So, we compared the total costs across the entire production chain for three injection mold inserts:

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝:
• Material preparation (milling, turning, wire cutting…)
• Heat treatment
• Final machining (grinding, EDM, polishing…)

𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝:
• Powder printing
• Heat treatment
• Final machining (same as above)

The result: The cost difference was just under 10% — and in some cases, additive manufacturing was actually more cost-effective.
