Prabakaran Nanthagobalan Senior Engineer in our Projects Engineering and Delivery team, reflects on a decade at Commtel and the experiences that have shaped the way he looks at work today.
“When I joined Commtel, I already had several years of experience in telecom, but my role here began very much on the commissioning side, working closely at site and focusing on the work in front of me.
As I moved into coordination and then project leadership, the way I looked at the work started changing too. It was no longer only about completing one activity. I had to understand customers, coordinate with vendors and teams, and think about what the project would need as it moved forward.
One thing I’ve realised along the way is that every stage adds something to the next. What I learned in commissioning still matters today, just in a different way.
And through all of this, what I’ve valued is how people come together around the work. Different teams may have different views, but when something needs to be delivered, the focus comes back to getting it done together.”
