Day 102
A successful IVD Sales Manager cannot choose between being a Leader and being a Business Manager.
He must be both.
As a Leader, he must inspire people, build trust, coach the team, develop talent, encourage ownership and create a strong performance culture.
As a Business Manager, he must deliver targets, improve market share, plan territory coverage, review pipelines, manage collections, strengthen product mix and ensure disciplined ex*****on.
People leadership without business discipline may create a happy team but weak results.
Business discipline without people leadership may create pressure but not sustainable performance.
The strongest Sales Managers combine both.
They set clear goals.
They solve problems.
They communicate well.
They adapt to change.
They make decisions.
They act with integrity.
And most importantly, they convert strategy into field ex*****on.
In IVD sales, where success depends on customer confidence, technical understanding, service reliability, distributor engagement and consistent follow-up, this balance becomes even more important.
Great Sales Managers do not choose between people and performance.
They build people to improve performance.
They improve performance by staying close to people.
Lead the team.
Manage the business.
Execute with discipline.
Deliver sustainable growth.
